San Antonio's most active hail season runs from roughly March through June, and spring 2026 is no exception. The time to check your insurance isn't when you hear hail bouncing off your patio — it's right now, while things are calm and you can actually think clearly about what your policies say.
A spring policy checkup isn't about buying more insurance. It's about knowing what you already have, spotting anything that's changed since last year, and making adjustments before they become urgent.
Most families set up their coverage when they bought their house or car and haven't looked at it since. That's completely normal. But a lot can shift in twelve months.
Texas homeowners policies almost always have a separate deductible for wind and hail damage, and it's usually a percentage of your dwelling coverage — not a flat dollar amount.
